Guided tours
Would you like to learn more about the secrets of natures?
Our team of guides will accompany you through the world of hidden wonders of animals and plants. Have you ever watched a caterpillar eat? Watching a butterfly fly? Have you always wondered how bats orient themselves in the dark? You can discover and experience this and more during a guided tour. Guided tours can also be individually adapted to your needs.
We offer guided tours through our four live exhibits.
You can choose from two guide variants:
Variant: “Standard” guided tour
- Two live exhibits to choose
- 1¼ – 1½ hours
- Max. 20 people or 1 school class (max. 23) per guide
- Guided tour in German, French or English
- Available from Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays
- CHF 130.00 per group (incl. VAT) or CHF 65.00 (incl. VAT) per class during compulsory school hours (prices do not include admission)
Reservation: At least 2-3 weeks in advance using the form ‘Standard’ application form at contact@papiliorama.ch. Please note that your reservation is only definitive, once you have received our written confirmation.
Variant: “Split” guided tour
Recommended for kindergartens and school classes with children aged 4–8
This offer includes two 35- to 40-minute visits to an interactive exhibition of your choice. For a ‘split’ tour, the group is divided into two halves. These tours are conducted one after the other by the same guide. The guide visits the desired exhibition with the first half of the group and an adult accompanying person for 35–40 minutes. During this time, the other group is looked after by the second adult accompanying person. They are free to visit the exhibitions or the outdoor area (e.g. playground) during this time. At the end of the tour of the exhibition, the guide returns to the meeting point to swap the two half-groups: the group that took part in the tour continues to be looked after by the adult accompanying person and the other group goes on the tour.

General information
- As demand is very high and availability depends on staff availability, registrations should be made as early as possible.
- May and June are school trip season, and we welcome a large number of school classes, especially in the mornings. We recommend that non-school groups arrive in the afternoon.
- We offer coffee/croissants and aperitifs upon advance reservation.
- Please note that the tour is only binding once the reservation confirmation has been sent.
