Who are the „Friends of Papiliorama“?
The supporters association „Friends of Papiliorama“ was founded in 2003 independently of the Papiliorama Foundation. The aim of the association is to provide support to Papiliorama in the financing of acquisitions and new buildings, in the organisation of special events or by offering the possibility to adopt animals.
How can I become a “Friend of Papiliorama”?
Simply send your address to one of the persons mentioned below and you will receive the necessary documentation as well as a payment slip within a few days.
Annual membership fees:
- Individual member: CHF 30.-
- Families/ Couples: CHF 50.-
- Companies/ Associations: CHF 100.-

What are my advantages as a member?

Members receive the yearly journal „Butterfly News“ with news from Papiliorama and an invitation to the annual meeting (in the spring), during which the association decides about activities for the coming year.

Friends of Papiliorama also benefit from reduced entrance fees to Papiliorama.
How can I adopt an animal?
The association offers the possibility of adopting various animals living in the tropical exhibits of Papiliorama and Nocturama, as for example the legendary giant gourami Johann, an ultra-slow sloth, the huge anaconda female or the sweet minipig Siggy. Please follow the link to the right to view the complete list of animals to be adopted.
The adoption is valid for a year and is accompanied by a nice certificate with a picture of the adopted animal. Your adoption will also be mentioned in the “Friends Papiliorama” corner at the tropical complex in Kerzers.
